Cristiana and Riccardo

My journey with wine began in 2000, when I happened to take a Sommelier course. From that moment, I couldn’t help but be swept away by a passion that completely changed my life. Two years later, I became an AIS Sommelier, and since then, wine has become my strength and my reason for being.

I passed this passion on to Riccardo, and together we made a bold but heartfelt decision: to leave everything behind, the old jobs, the routine, and follow our dream. We bought vineyards and decided to become wine producers. We weren’t doing it just for ourselves, but to create something everlasting, something that truly represented us, a dream that would never end.

Our philosophy is simple yet profound : to bring the unique essence of our Terroir into the glass every day, enhancing its extraordinary characteristics in every bottle. This is made possible through agricultural practices that respect and nourish the land, aiming to keep the soils alive and vibrant. Only in this way can we produce wines that truly tell the story of our territory, in all its authenticity and beauty.

We work in the vineyards following organic methods, without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, but with sustainable practices that maintain soil fertility and plants health. We use compost, manure, and natural remedies to protect the vines. Pruning is meticulous, and the harvest is manual to select the best clusters. In the cellar, winemaking follows a precise process that excludes the use of chemical additives and artificial enological aids, ensuring the most authentic final product possible.

TERROIR

Our vineyards are located in a village of Roncà, Brenton, situated on the border between the provinces of Verona and Vicenza. To the west is Lake Garda, to the east the Adriatic Sea with its warmth, to the north the Lessini Mountains, rich in pastures, and to the south, the Po Valley that gently slopes towards the Tusco-Emilian Apennines.
The land in which the vines take root was once home to volcanoes that left an indelible mark in terms of expressive richness and minerality, thanks to their schists, tuffs, and lavas that have overlapped over the millennia, becoming the backbone of our territory.

The oldest vineyard, with an average age of 50 years, is located at 450 meters above sea level, in a magnificent south/south-west position where it captures the hottest rays of the summer sun. However, the altitude ensures the ideal night-time temperature shift, which will then give intense aromas to our Durella grapes.
A little lower down, another old vineyard of only Durella rests below a beautiful grassy slope.

In Roncà, at 120 meters above sea level, is the Garganega vineyard, which we planted with our own hands in 2009.

Finally, at 550 meters above sea level, is our youngest Pinot Noir vineyard, which, more than the others, requires care and attention to guide it to full maturity.

All around, biodiversity is ensured by forests that gently embrace the vineyards.

We do not use any chemical or harmful substances in the vineyard: no herbicides, no treatments, and no fertilizers that could pollute or alter the precious balance that connects the vine with the land.

The grapes that we use for winemaking come exclusively from these plots, and each plant is personally cared for by us, respecting its unique needs.

The harvest is done by hand at the most opportune moment.

We are deeply proud and fascinated by the rich history we walk on every day, and we strive to preserve intact the value that Nature imparts to our grapes.

In the cellar, we intervene as little as possible, respectfully guiding the grapes on their journey to become wine, ensuring they remain true to their essence and to the territory that nourishes them.
